Without fear of competition from London's Savoy Theatre, Woodford Operatic and Dramatic Society are producing Fiddler on the Roof at the Kenneth More Theatre between 27th and 30 September. "WOADS is privileged to be able to stage this great musical" says show administrator Martyn Stewart. "It has been 16 years since the company last performed 'Fiddler' and the cast are looking forward to performing those much loved numbers which include 'If I were a Rich Man', 'Matchmaker', 'Tradition' and 'Sunrise Sunset'".
Theatre Manager Vivyan Ellacott wishes the show well: "The Kenneth More is always pleased to see these musical favourites being
performed at the Kenneth More. It provides our audiences with the opportunity to see West End Shows at a fraction of the West End cost
while giving much appreciated support to their local theatre."
Pictured on the roof of the theatre is the show's Musical Director Gemma Hawkins who is clearly willing to perform 'over and above' the call of duty!
This production is presented by arrangement with JOSEF WEINBERGER LTD. Book by JOSEPH STEIN. Music by JERRY BOCK and Lyrics by
SHELDON HARNICK.
