Commenting on the WOADS nominations for 'Suddenly Last Summer', the director Mary Lowe said: "Our November play has gained us two Kenny nominations. Sylvia Zilesnick, (Best Female Supporting Performance) for her excellent portrayal of Mrs.Venable, the embittered mother of Sebastian her adored son, who died in mysterious circumstances, 'last summer' and Jay Berry as Catharine (Best Actress), the young woman who was with Sebastian when he died. Jay has quite rightly been nominated Best Actress for her moving portrayal. She showed the madness, the humour, the sexuality and above all the tragedy of this complex woman as naturally as if she really was Catharine. A true tour de force!"
The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday 4th March at The Kenneth More Theatre.
